Jennifer Hood

Co-founder, Hoodzpah, Inc and co-author of Freelance, and Business, and Stuff: A Guide for Creatives

Jennifer Hood is a mildly tortured creative based out of Orange County, CA. She is a Creative Director and co-founder of Hoodzpah, Inc, a branding studio, with twin sister and co-founder Amy Hood. She is also a co-founder of Connecting Things, an offline and online creative community with chapters across the US, and taught Professional Practices at Laguna College of Art & Design. Besides business as usual, she’s fond of clanging on her piano, Googling symptoms for her ailing plants, falling under Netflix’s spell, reading/smelling issues of Esquire, and singing pitchy Kansas songs at the local karaoke bar.

Amy Hood

Co-founder, Hoodzpah, Inc and co-author of Freelance, and Business, and Stuff: A Guide for Creatives

Amy Hood loves brand and type design more than Tan France loves a French tuck. She is a Creative Director at Hoodzpah and the font designer behind Palm Canyon Drive, Beale, Beverly Drive, and Lone Pine. When she's not spewing Lakers stats at the local watering hole, Amy can be found driving up PCH—wailing along to honkytonk love songs—looking for the closest In-N-Out. She is a co-founder of the creative meetup, Connecting Things, and co-authored the book (#FABAS) with her sister, Jennifer, based on the Professional Practices class they taught at Laguna College of Art & Design.
